How it all began

We started in property maintenance and soon realised that rather than wait for something to stop working and then have to rely on tradesmen of all different types to tell you what was wrong (and then charge accordingly!) it was better to have a planned maintenance program but that this could only be achieved if you knew how your home was performing in the first place. And so was borne MOT My House.

In the course of carrying out many hundreds of property inspections our Customers explained that they wanted more than just knowing that the fabric of their property was in good order. They wanted to know that their home functioned in a way that was not only the most efficient but also provided the safe and nurturing environment for their family that we all hope for but so few manage to provide. From this we developed our other surveys looking at the AIR you breathe, the increasingly important ADSL & WiFi performance and even the hidden danger posed by RADON - an invisible killer that few households consider.

By studying the science behind these problems and sourcing test equipment we were able to start offering services that can dramatically enhance the performance of your home. We have gone from strength to strength, training more surveyors and gaining new business from referrals.
